盖茨基金会宣布新董事会成员

这Bill＆Melinda Gates基金会已宣布任命三名新董事会成员，以加强组织的治理并提高董事会的独立性。

自伯克希尔·哈撒韦（Berkshire Hathaway）主席和首席执行官以来，盖茨家族以外的第一任董事会成员沃伦·巴菲特（Warren Buffett）辞职2021年6月的董事会是Strive Masiyiwa，Minouche Shafik和Tom Tierney。

这南加州大学和加利福尼亚大学圣地亚哥已经宣布了来自丹尼尔和菲利斯·爱泼斯坦的共同礼物，总计5000万美元爱泼斯坦家庭基金会支持阿尔茨海默氏症的研究。

Split evenly between the two institutions, the gift will establish the Epstein Family Alzheimer’s Research Collaboration at USC and UC San Diego and support existing research to help compress the time between study design, patient recruitment, and clinical trials to expedite the discovery of better treatments and, ultimately, a cure for the progressive neurological disorder.

PayPal的一部分承诺to advance racial economic equity and support Black and underserved communities, the investment in SoLa’s Black Impact Fund will help double its existing portfolio of 1,500 affordable housing units, and the organization plans to add another 4,000 units in California over the next two years, making SoLa Impact one of the nation’s largest Black-led developers and operators.
